How to send us an obituary 

To notify us of the death of a member or if you have any questions, please get in touch via email. The obituary should:

  • be for a member who has passed away within the last twelve months
  • include the dates of birth and passing away
  • be no longer than one A4 page (about eight paragraphs)
  • mention the contribution the person who has died made to the chemical sciences

You can also supply a photo if you wish. It must:

  • be portrait and at least half a megabyte in size
  • be a separate file in jpg or png format and not within a Word or other document
  • not contain other people
  • have permission to be published from relevant people
